Paul Boyer (bass) has hovered around the “music biz” for decades. He came within an inch of being the bassist for “Boston” in the mid 1970s, but life and career asked him to put the axe away until the new millennium. Paul just retired from a 25-year career in publishing, serving as senior editor of FineScale Modeler magazine (Kalmbach Publishing) in Waukesha. He lives in Cedarburg with his wife, Dorothy. When he’s not building the bottom for “RTM,” he’s building museum-quality model aircraft, or building up his birding life list. Paul’s also writing a reference book on Rickenbacker bass guitars. Good thing he’s retired.
