John “JR” Rickinger (drums, lead and background vocals) started performing with semi-pro bands at the age of 13. Although it’s been a long time since he’s needed his dad as a chaperone, John’s drive and passion for music has never faded. He was a founding member of “Sound Investment,” in 1978. Over the years, John has played with nine-piece horn groups, playing tunes by Chicago and Blood, Sweat & Tears, to hard rock, top 40s, Beatles, jazz, and blues. In the 1980s, he was a founding member of “Sensation” that opened for the jazz great Stan Kenton when he performed in Milwaukee.
In his professional life, JR is Principal/Creative Director with a business partner running his own strategic marketing agency “LRG” – The LePoidevin Rickinger Group. (Check out LRGideas.com)
